How can Dream Coaching help?

_ Dream Coaching can enrich your experience of Dreaming in a number of key ways: 

~  Leave you feeling supported and heard.  As your Dream Coach, I am your ally, nurturing the inner dimensions of your being with my active attention and enthusiastic interest. 

~ Help you to tap into the creative power of your dreams providing you with a fresh pool of ideas from which to draw upon in your waking life.

~  Help you gain greater insight with respect to who you are and how you function in your world.

~ Help warn you of future calamities and obstacles and provide guidance as to how to sidestep these hurdles or at least be better prepared for them.

The Difference Between Dream Coaching & Therapy

_Therapy tends to be a process oriented methodology for unlocking the meaning of your dreams that may take years; whereas coaching tends to be more direct, educational and goal orientated.  In Dream Coaching you choose discrete goals that you wish to achieve and then with the help of your coach you achieve those goals. Here are some examples of goals you may wish to focus on….
  • Increase your capacity for dream recall
  • Learn a specialized form of dreaming such as Lucid Dreaming or Creative Dreaming
  • Enhance your dream Interpretation skills
  • How to problem solve using your dreams
  • How to mine your dreams for health information
  • Learn to dream about future possibilities
  • Learn to better cope with nightmares


The Coaching Process

_ What does the Dream Coaching Process look like… 

~  Understanding and Signing the Dream Contract: 

This is your agreement and commitment to fill out the Discovery Packet, and pay for and complete anywhere from 4-8 dream coaching sessions.  The first session, the Discovery Session is one hour long.  All other sessions are between half an hour to one hour depending on the time you have available and the material being covered.  In this agreement you also commit to keeping some record of your dreams in a dream journal whether in written or pictorial form.

~  Filling out the Discovery Packet

The Discovery Packet consists of a series of forms that help me get a better understanding of who you are and your relationship with the world of dreams and dreaming.  It will help you to clarify what areas of dreaming you wish to focus on during our coaching relationship.  At any time you have the option to change your focus areas and are not bound by this initial map but having an idea of what you wish to explore allows you to maximize your progress in a short period of time.

The first coaching session is the Discovery session.  

~  Completing 4-8 Dream Coaching Sessions.   

The remainder of the coaching sessions typically start out with a check-in.  Then you decide what you wish to focus on for that session.  Do you wish to expand your scope of dreaming (explore a new form of dreaming that is unfamiliar to you), increase your depth of dreaming with regard to a particular topic (dream recall, lucid dreaming, precognitive dreaming etc.) or do you wish to work on interpreting a dream that you have recently had?
